Produce Delivery!

Have I told you how much I love having produce delivered? Let me tell you why.
1. I don't have to take my two out in the snow.
2. I get a great price on local, organic produce.
3. We have tried things I had never heard of before (Jerusalem artichokes, celeriac, ...)
4. My boy digs right in to that box!
Today he snacked on cauliflower
and one of his favorites - "itsy bitsy" bell pepper!

What We're Up To

Peekaboo party in the mirror with Jane turns into family fun and photo op. I'm sure we were listening to some of Matthew's favorite songs: Get Down On It; Funky Town ...
Don't they look like they are plotting something?
Most days you can catch us like this. Matthew is getting really good at making train tracks and Jane loves to watch him.
Hee hee! Matthew has an Easter egg half in his mouth. Looks weird, huh?

Peanut Butter Party

Matt: Mommy, I'm hungry for peanut butter.
Me: Sure. With an apple? With celery?
Matt: With nothing. Just with a spoon!
Yummm!
We of course called Magum, the peanut butter expert. She informed us that that is called a peanut butter party. Party on!

Cuteness

Jane's first bath in the big tub. Matthew was thrilled to have her in his "big balloon swimming pool inside my house!" (A reference to his favorite author, Dr. Suess.)
Post bath happiness.
I put this sweet girl down for her nap the other day. When I came back a few minutes later to check on her, this is how she greeted me. So much for sleeping!

MORE Caps for Sale

Because you can never have too many. Daddy and Jane got to play this time too. And adding to the fun, Matthew decided to make it Jane's birthday party, hence the Mickey Mouse gift bag in the background. (Daddy got to wear a metal mixing bowl)

Happy Baby

Little Miss Janie is the happiest baby around. She is really into trains right now (thank you Matthew) and has a bit of a runny nose (thank you excellent camera for catching the snot.)
She can sit up all by herself (sniff sniff ... she is growing up so fast!) and enjoys the freedom that brings. She is a talented pianist and can play both ambidextrously and with her feet.
She can sit for hours just happy to watch what everyone else is doing. She is experimenting with the sound of her voice and has quite the raspberry noise.
She is such a delightful child. I love my Janie girl!

Matt's Kind of Fun

Hey Daddy, let's play guitars! (They sang ABC's. It rocked.)
Mommy, I'm not sleepy, I'm hungry.
I'm feeding Pink Doggie a hot dog. (He made the hot dog himself out of play dough.)

I have a cap just like the peddler! (Mommy made his cap with a yogurt container, some construction paper, and a sharpie.)

Caps for Sale

Matthew checked out Caps for Sale from the library. Great read if you have one in the preschool set. Anyhow, he has been stacking everything he can manage on his head just like the peddler in the story stacks his caps on his head. (Funny side note: I can hear him in bed right this very moment repeating lines from the story: "Tsz tsz tsz!")
Such a good brother, always including Janie in his games.
Reminds me of this little one. Time sure flies when you're having fun!
