Summer Projects

Here is a sample of my projects this summer. I have always wanted to make a 4th of July dessert, so this year I did! Doesn't it look patriotic? And it tasted good too!
Knitting summer wear is not so easy to do, so I got a head start on winter wear. Jackie requested a headband to keep her ears warm, so here it is. I even knit the little flower decoration! Looks great with a tank top, eh? Jackie wore it while floating in the pool. I guess she liked it.
Last but not least, here is the baby sweater and matching booties I have been working on. It's my first big knit project, so it's got some funky areas, but overall I'm pretty pleased. Anybody having a baby girl soon? (In case anyone is wondering, we are not!) Posted by Picasa

Wow! And the student WAY surpasses the teacher. That sweater/bootie combo is so cute. Were those pockets on that sweater? You must tell me what book you're using. The last time I tried to make booties, I knit three booties that were all different sizes!

Hey thanks! I used a Debbie Bliss book (and lots of other ones to helpo me figure out what I was supposed to do.)After that sweater, the booties were a snap!

What a gal, I'm so proud of you, your domestic side is growing and looking great. I remember when I first knit baby sweaters, I was your age and would knit them for all my friends babies. The Hat is darling and looks great on you. Love you MOM H.

Hobbies are fun! I forgot to show my cross stitch hydrangea pillow - on my next craft post maybe.
