Isn't Moving Fun?

So this is the current state of the Hardwick house. Boxes everywhere, closets emptied onto the floor for sorting and packing, and a general feeling of chaos. We have until Friday to get the entire place packed and ready to be loaded into the shipping crates. Aahhhh!!! Does anyone want to come help?

Thank you, Erin, for your comment. Due to the public nature of the blog, I didn't want to keep all of it on the site. So here is the edited part of your comment:

"Erin Graham!!! Don't even act like you just packed those boxes up! I lived with you for two years and I'm pretty sure you still had some boxes to unpack when I left. Puh-lease!

On a lighter note... how sad that you're leaving right when we reconnected. I guess we'll always have blogging!"

And, yes, you know me too well. I did just unpack some things to repack them. (but only one box)

Why is joshua sitting in the picture? Shouldn't he be packing? :)

Moving is no fun at all. Well, the packing unpacking part isn't at least. Hopefully you can recruit some help to get through the last of it. Mike and I hope to be in our home through our children being in college, at least. Just think of all the junk we will accumulate by then! Assuming our plan and God's plan align of course.

Looks familiar...

Packing isn't fun, but moving into a new place is!

Don't stress too much. There's a wide range of packing perfection to strive for, so you just have to adjust the quality of the packing job with the time available...

I usually pack the first box like a tetris champ, then at the very end there's usually a big-old half-torn box labeled "miscellaneous" that gets coats, fine china, sports equipment, tools, and dog toys all thrown in together, then sealed shut with layers of multiple brands of packing tape, duct tape, scotch tape, elmers glue, and parts of other boxes...

Erin!! It's great to hear from you!! It's funny, Ben and I were talking about the mac and cheese fiasco the other day when I began having problems with our current garbage disposal! :) We were wondering how you were and what you were up to and then...poof!!...I have a comment on my blog. What an exciting move to Washington! I wish you and your husband the best!! I've often thought about moving out of this state, but we stay rooted because of all of our family. If only we could get everyone to follow us... I look forward to keeping in touch with you.
