For the last three years I've been telling Erin about the annual Tulip Festival in the Skagit Valley. In April the tulips come into bloom and all the farms show off their rows and gardens. So, Sunday we, with Dad and Mom, went to join in the festivities.
It's about a 2 hour drive north from Tacoma so we made a quick stop at a rest area along the way for rest, coffee, and a quick pose by a very large stump. An example of what the trees used to look like here before the greedy loggers cut them all down.
There are more rows of tulips in front of me too, with colors so vibrant that no camera could ever capture.

That is amazing! And I thought my tiny tulip garden was pretty cool. Now, how about some updates on your new jobs...
Erin tells me there is no time for updates. Gotta go to work. Seriously, she has three jobs. One she hates, one she loves, and one that makes her feel like an old woman. I thought she would've blogged about it by now, because she's always on the computer. But I guess she's just always on Craig's List instead. Searching for homes, furniture, and more jobs.
She hates the STAR Writing one I bet. I had to do a few 8 hour days grading our district writing tests and it was torture!
I LOVE tulips. What a beautiful place to visit!
wow, incredible! I never knew there were so many varieties of Tulips. I especially love the red ones with the yellow inside (at least that's what it looks like from the pics).
I am sooooo jealous!! Tulips are my favorite flower. Those pics are beautiful :)
Don't you people see how I tired I look in those pics?! Never work three places at once for less than a third of what you made with one job. ... Joshua seems to think that checking my e-mail at 8:30 when I get home from work in the half hour before I go to bed means I'm always on the computer. What does he know, he only has one job. :) Those tulip pictures simply do not do the flowers justice. It was a breathtaking scene. Y'all should come visit next year!
And here I thought y'all moved up north and we moved south...
He he! I've been listening to a lot of country music. :)
I love to new blog title Erin!

Hi, Erin! Bette from Mission School here. I just had my retirement party this week. Yup, I'm retiring. :) Right now I'm packing up the library. Poor kids won't have a library at all next year. I still don't understand why.
It looks like you and Joshua are really enjoying Washington. I love it up there. I used to live in Spokane, and hope to make it back up there sometime.
Enjoy you new life there! I know I will enjoy mine, being retired. You are missed here very much!
